Performance

AX fans can be configured in multiple impeller and motor configurations allowing fans to be optimized for the designed operating point of any specific application.

Sturdy and dependable design

The casings are manufactured from heavy gauge steel with pre-drilled flanges. Cases are hot-dip galvanized to AS1650 standard.

On request, the AX axial fan range can be customised through the use of variants and accessories to allow 

  • Outrigger mounts for vertical mounting

  • Improved life in C4 and C5 environments

Tested according to ISO 5801 and AMCA 210

The AX axial fan is tested according to ISO5801 for airflow performance and to ISO13347.3 or AMCA 300 for sound performance.

Construction

The casings are manufactured from heavy gauge steel with pre-drilled roll-formed flanges. Cases are hot-dip galvanized to AS1650 standard. 

Impeller

Impellers are constructed from aluminium hubs and with blades of aluminium, glass-reinforced plastic or anti-static glass-reinforced plastic. 

Motor

Fans use TEFC motors compliant with MEPS 2 and MEPS 3 and higher are available as options 

Motor protection

Motors are IP54 as the default option but can be upgraded to IP66 when required. 

Control

Fans can be speed controlled with variable frequency drives between 15 and 60Hz 

Installation

AX range fans are designed to be mounted in any orientation around the axis when mounted horizontally to align the junction box with a desired position.  When mounting fans vertically, then specialist outrigger mounts are required when the motor frame exceeds 132 size.
